On to the other games which not much happen… Sorry RoNiN was the more eventful game.
So Through the Gorgons Pass no major events as the party climb to the top of the mountain to speak with the sphinx in order to get permission to enter the Temple of Songs. There were a few recruitments and a boss battle.
The recruits was a gorgon charmer who had permission to enter the temple of songs, but joined the group due to the charms of Endios. The other recruit was a captured harpy charmer. So this gives both two players a full party which will be needed for the temple of songs.
The boss battle was a frog with weird eyes. Given how everyone was shrunk to the point that ants are like elephants you can see the issue. Its eyes can reflect magic that was cast on it, but it ultimately was not a problem due to clever usage of spells. Mostly instead of targeting the frog directly why not target the water it is in with lightning. So the frog got cooked along with all the shrunken fish in the lake. It doubled the party’s rations.
The last challenging bit was climbing the mountain to seek audience with the sphinx. Which they succeeded, but only to find the sphinx has a body of a black house cat… So a lap sphinx. Thankfully no one made fun of the sphinx as she is very powerful. Powerfully enough to teach the party the usage of her teleport magic. So once teleported to base the group was ready for the temple.
Not much happen on the descent other than a harpy battle which resulted in recruiting a harpy. She was more than willing given the group she was in wasn’t treating her well and the party was… Well far more dangerous than a group of harpies. Eventually they make it to another town and decided to take time off to relax. Some went to do odd jobs which one of the heroes slayed undead rats to save a lot of pets and earned much graditude from the people.
Song of Sirens in Japan had the Christmas special and my character survived the New Years surprise. The surprise is that nothing happen to him. A much better fate than the player who lost 10,000 fat golden bars that the Japanese Navy needed. Same player ended up with four nat ones on the d20. I called foul play on Roll20 glitching, but the GM rolled a d100 to see how bad it is. That player’s character got possessed by a goose demon, blacked out, and bought a extremely expensive car that is worth 4.6 years working as admiral.
It was early alt history 1930s and admirals were not paid well in Japan. The car which isn’t even meant to be out yet was worth 30k yen. The monthly pay check is 550 yen. Again my character survived the holidays.
Now Song of Sirens America… Still stuck at Alaska. Yet despite leading demons my character ended up saving people from human sacrifices by a crazed near naked russian sorcerer. Yes my character shot Grigori Rasputin to save a native american woman which solved two cases in one stone for the govenor of Alaska. On top of it I scored a archdemon which benefits one of my Yorktown class fleet carriers. As for my fellow admirals they got money and relics.
As for Rasputin… He reformed his shot off head, cussed out my character, and teleported away. I have a hunch we are going to be enemies. Thankfully my character is a excellent shot.
